HOW TO: Prevent my Portafilter from Slipping in Use
The key to preventing your portafilter from slipping in use is to clean the natural oils that build up on the filter screen. This happens through regular use and so it's important to keep your machine clean and degreased. Check out the video on how to degrease your filter screen.

Rok + Dualit = morning bliss!
Thats really cool, might get one of these
So it's an affordable spring lever arm system? That's cool. Focus more on that.
Need help. I used a Rok Preso GC and experienced a problem, namely, when I was pressing for espresso extraction, the tool exploded (the portafilter immediately came off during the extraction process) even though the pressure had not yet reached 9 bar... in fact, I was doubtful about reaching 5 bar pressure. Please provide a solution. Thank You.
Please can you contact our customer team, the email is on our website!
Wondering if just the burr will fit the older version……?
The burr will fit the older version
I just bought the older version with the metal bade…will the new gear unit fits the one?
Hi, if you are referring to the GrinderGC upgrade kit, with new burrs, burr key and adjustment wheel then YES, it will fit this one.
I need a new cover over my gear unit…can I buy one?
I will buy one when its not made of plastic in PRC. There should be a commercial version if the operation is different than the pro - to stay competitive with Flair and Robot.
When will it be available again?
Nice 👍👍👍👍👍
Haven’t had this issue with my ROK GC yet, but it’s nice to be informed if I ever need to clean it off 👍🏼 & cool music
Hello, unfortunately, I’m unable to remove the old cylinder that is completely stuck. I can rotate it but not lift the piece. Dobyou have any advice for this case ? Many thanks
What is the life of the spring actuation system?
@ROKEspressoMaker I had upgraded the original to GC when it was released (I have 2 units). Would like to upgrade it to the Commercial Edition as will deal with the biggest issue I have with the ROK: consistent pressure. However its not in the shop. With the times, I feel either upgrade With Commercial Kit or change from ROK to the Robot. (the presso is not for me) So please let us know when will it be available? Thanks.
even with comercial edition its hard to obtain constant pressure. With fine espresso grind it fastly drops from 10 bars to 3 bars through push
@meshime iin my view it's more to visually see you're not going overboard, and generally help by seeing in addition to what you feel it's happening. Eg When you rush it, especially on a new lot of beans you can end up building too much pressure. With a bit of feel you can back off. But it's always too reactive.
Hello! Would you answer please. Which naked portafilter can be installed in this coffee maker ? Thank you!
@@XeonX__ASMR__METAL-experiments I couldn't find any that would fit. Rok might have one for their other machine, that would work with this one but it's not recommended.
@johnferrer42 thank you :(
I really wish there was an upgrade kit for the first model 🥲
My grinder is stuck all the way on the most open setting. How do i fix this?
ROKCG❤
Love it @Rok Coffee
I bought the 51mm temper but it doesn't work for this basket :-(
Make the update kit available!
Hi, is it possible to just buy the plunger with the gauge if I have a ROK GC already?
We need 58mm porta
Please help me where I can buy the conversion kit because my transparent plunger is broken. I am from the Philippines.
LOVE ROK !

When we will have the gauge available in your store as a ‘add on’ part to clients that have purchased the based model?? At the time I bought mine, the commercial GC was unavailable.
Very nice. I am enjoying greatly of my GC with the pressure meter. Very simple to use and very simple to clean, and above all, it does not become dirty like electric espresso machines. GC needs almost no maintenance.
may i know the mm of portafiler?
49mm
Really liking going back to my old Presso. Bought the little kit to update it and it's much better than it used to although I do have channeling issues and do not seem to get the best crema. I get big bubbles in my crema.
Hey Simon, really glad to hear you're still using your old Presso. To avoid channelling try to agitate your coffee grounds pre-tamping. Evenly distributed and well-tamped coffee grounds should mean that you avoid channelling and should improve the crema. Additionally if you're interested, we now have a pressurised portafilter basket that can be fitted on to your regular portafilter, you can order it over on the website - it gives you great crema!
ROK is great, hope this company stay in business forever.
ROK CG 最高❤
This really appeals to me for several reasons. I am the only one in the house that drinks coffee and always black unsweetened so a machine with a milk steamer is a wasted investment. I have a grinder capable of espresso grind finest and finer but have never made espresso so I would use pressure basket when making my morning brew at 3am and I would have the naked portafilter that's an additional purchase for times when I can practice dialling in my brew process. Also being mechanical it makes little to no noise so at 4 am I can make a double shot without it waking the rest of the house.
I also like the idea of experimenting with other liquid rather than just hot water. I love cold brew coffee so a double espresso of chilled water would be an interesting experience.
I'll let you know how this works in one of our airbnb's in Miami. I think I'm going to make a QR code for this video so people will know how to use it correctly.
🙄I'm new about espresso coffee, but from what i known espresso coffee have 18-22% of coffee extraction. Any prove for this machine?
I'm down for any form of lever espresso machine, but I'm not yet sold on the beer part... 😅
sus
That's pretty sick!
First time seeing espresso brewed with coke!
So a spring lever machine and a pressurized basket? The spring lever is a nice approach, not so sure about the pressurized basket though.
Very interesting! What kinda pressures are you aiming at? Do you want to mimic the classic spring lever machine in how the pressure profile is?
I hope it's around 9 bars?
You invented a modified Robot completely from scratch? That's nice. And your smart basket makes it unnecessary to dial in? Yeah right.
Apparently yes 🤷♂️ ua-cam.com/video/OXqiqoPkJVU/v-deo.htmlsi=ge3FYOu8MgQ7Gezd
What are you on about? Rok's original lever machine which this is based off hit the market in 2004, 14 years before the robot. Both clearly took visual inspiration from the faema baby, but the Rok didn't borrow the combined basket and brew chamber design like the robot did. The robot is literally a modernised Faema baby, the Rok just has a similar visual design. (proud robot owner here BTW)
Ohh, now that's fancy. A combination of spring lever with the compact robot format, don't think I've seen that before.
Great to see someone innovating on the idea of spring espresso machines. It’s kind of full circle to where it all started, but new at the same time. Exciting!
Are you guys planning to have a carrying case for the ROK?
the leaking around bayonet is because portafilter moved, so make sure to dry out the silicon seal and tighten the porta to the max.
Does the ROK units come with the ability to run a "naked" filter?
Great video, but I cant get the black cylinder to twist off the base, its rock solid. any ideas?
Same here.
